Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Table of Contents
Where can I find a dealer?
We have a
dealers page or you can email us at
info@4RGK.com and state your request; leave
your contact information and we will have someone
contact you in the manner you wish.
If RGK doe not have a dealer in my
area, can I still get a chair?
Yes. RGK has had slow and steady growth
throughout the world. We process dealer applications
as they are submitted, but if we do not have a
dealer in your area we will provide personal service
to you out of the Ottawa, Ontario Canada office.
Use our
contacts page or send us an email to
indicate your immediate needs along with a telephone
number and a preferred time to call.
What is a category 1 chair and why is
it better for higher performance?
A mono frame chair (including seat
and integrated camber bar) has been labeled by RGK
as a category 1 chair. Fewer components means higher
rigidity, increased overall strength, and a
reduction in the loss of transmitted force. This
results in increased performance.
What is the weight of an RGK
wheelchair?
There are a number of factors to
be considered in listing the overall weight of the
chair (i.e. - The type of chair, the material used
chrome-molly or titanium, the size of the chair, the
type of wheels used, the accessories required, the
upholstery, cushion type, etc.) . . . we therefore
have taken a look at a large number of units shipped
in recent months and are able to indicate that they
have ranged in weight from 15-25 pounds or
6.82-11.36 kg; our Maxima Max Lite weighs
approximately 3.2 kilos without the rear wheels in a
407 mm configuration!
What am I looking at for delivery
time of an RGK wheelchair?
Once an order is received and any
issues clarified, an order confirmation goes to the
dealer complete with an anticipated dispatch date
noting the relevant calendar week that the finished
product will be sent. Volume and product complexity
regularly play a role in delivery times. Currently
our delivery ranges from five weeks in the best case
scenario to 10 weeks.
What is with these tire sizes?
Tire sizes are often time noted in
metric or imperial sizing. Some of the common tire
sizes used in RGK products are 24 X 1 or 25-540; 24
X 1 3/8 or 37-540; 25 X 1 or 20-559; 26 X 1 or
